Numerical-Experimental Study Regarding the Single Point Incremental Forming Process

چکیده

The present paper proposes a numerical-experimental comparative study on the single point incremental forming process. A DC04 steel sheet with thickness of 0.6 mm was used for both numerical simulation using finite element method and experimental research. type trajectory spiral finished part obtained truncated cone-shaped part. analysis program Ls-Dyna. simulations were performed in several variants: fixed mesh an adaptive mesh, two different formulations: 25 (Belytschko-Tsay formulation stretch) -16 (fully integrated shell modified higher accuracy) contact types: automatic surface to (ASTS) one way (FOSS). results research focused determining major strain, minor reduction forces at end process, as well processing time.
